Year 2 Employee Journey

Since summer 2016, the Civil Commercial Group within Booz Allen has invested in initiatives that empower employees to make meaningful connections, learn and develop skills, and explore firm opportunities. 

The firm faces an attrition problem, with a significant percentage of employees leaving the firm in Years 2–5. The Year 2 talent experience initiative that I'm helping lead helps to identify some of the reasons for the current turnover level. 

As part of this effort, I've conducted multiple employee interviews and created a series of personas and journey maps to help inform the firm's executives on reasons for leaving and helping them identify opportunities to deploy initiatives to help retain employees. Deliverables were used to help inform an overhaul of the firm’s onboarding process.
